I was walking along the trail at the Merritt Island Wildlife preserve. I was about to take some duck photos from a walkway. This Tricolored Heron landed about ten feet from me. It seemed like he wanted his picture taken. He stayed about five minutes posing in different positions. It was a really exciting time having him so close and being scared.
I am a retired Firefighter from New York. I moved to Vero Beach because my family and I loved the quiet, beautiful area. I was doing photography in my profession and now decided to take my hobby/work of photography to the next level and create Les Greenwood Photography. I do weddings, landscapes, nature, family and other projects that may come my way. All professionally done with the likes of my clients in mind.
